87th Congress of the Czech Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery
From 8–10 June 2026, the 87th Congress of the Czech Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (Czech Medical Association JEP) took place at the Aldis Congress Centre in Hradec Králové.
This year's congress focused on innovation, artificial intelligence, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The scientific programme was prepared in cooperation with the Association of Clinical Speech and Language Therapists of the Czech Republic and the Czech Society for Biomedical Engineering and Medical Informatics (CMA JEP).
The programme featured scientific lectures, panel discussions, instructional courses, e-posters, corporate presentations, and workshops. Participants had the opportunity to meet not only specialists in ENT and head and neck surgery, but also clinical speech and language therapists, biomedical engineers, nurses, and professionals from a wide range of healthcare and related disciplines.
Promedica was an official sponsor of the panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence and Telemedicine. During the session, a multidisciplinary team of experts discussed the latest developments in artificial intelligence, its impact on modern medicine, and its potential applications within the Czech healthcare system.
At the exhibition booth, our Medical Technologies Division showcased the Collin Medical navigation system, an innovative solution designed to support precision and efficiency in ENT surgery.
One of the highlights of the congress was a live demonstration presented by Hradec Králové University Hospital. An endoscope was inserted into a physician's nasopharynx, allowing the movement of her vocal cords to be projected live onto the congress hall screen while she was singing (the video can be viewed below). This unique demonstration effectively combined clinical practice, medical education, and advanced imaging technology.
The congress once again highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative technologies in ENT care, providing valuable insights and inspiration for future clinical practice.
