Siemens Healthineers Model Site at Kolín Hospital

In 2025, the installation of the Siemens Atellica Solution laboratory system was completed at Kolín Hospital. Siemens subsequently selected the site as a reference and model laboratory for the segment of partially automated biochemistry laboratories in medium-sized hospitals.

Today, the Kolín laboratory serves as an example of how modern technologies can be successfully integrated with optimized laboratory processes. The project results are supported by concrete figures – STAT turnaround time was reduced by 26% and routine turnaround time by 31%, while the volume of processed samples increased. We are particularly pleased that the site has also been included in Siemens Healthineers’ global presentation of technology and IT solutions. For us, this confirms that effective collaboration combined with modern technologies can deliver results that not only improve the day-to-day operation of a laboratory but can also serve as inspiration for other sites.
