Art & Photography Competition – This Is Diabetes 2026

To mark World Diabetes Day, our partner Ascensia is launching a global art and photography competition that shares real stories of life with diabetes and helps raise awareness of the condition.

This year’s competition theme is This Is the Moment Everything Changed.

Life with diabetes is full of moments that can change everything. Recognising the first signs. Receiving a diagnosis. Finding support. And many more. What was the moment that changed everything for you?

How to enter?

Capture your story through an original photograph or piece of artwork and enter the competition at www.thisisdiabetes.com. The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over – whether you live with diabetes yourself, support someone close to you, or have a personal connection to diabetes.

The winners will have the opportunity to support a diabetes charity of their choice from a total donation fund of €20,000. Entries are open until 23 October 2026.
